On Matthew's birthday...him and I flew to Washington DC. The purpose in going was to be there for my little sis' graduation. I am so proud of Noelle! I feel blessed to be her sister. She graduated with a Masters in Government from Johns Hopkins University.
Matthew was even getting into the graduation spirit!
It was so fun that Jamey and Katharine came and blessed little Luke there. I loved being a part of the sweet blessing, even if Matthew got a little loud.
I can say it was one of the greatest weeks. SO many fun things to do and great people to see (fun to see the Seays again too). We also celebrated Addy, Jon, Matthew, and my mom's birthday there. We had all put together a memory book for my mom's 60th birthday. We worked on it for a month before we got there and she loved it! It was such a tribute to a wonderful woman.
A highlight was going on a West Wing tour of the White House. Only a staffer can take you through and Noelle's friend Millie works for Mrs. Bush, so she was able to take us around. I had been on the other White House tour 2 years ago, but the West Wing put the cherry on top.
We were able to fit in a trip to the inner harbor. It was fun to walk around and of course The Cheesecake Factory is always a treat.
That night we went to a National's game. It was a ton of fun! Matthew was dancing every time he heard music. I think he was amusing most of the people behind us. The night ended with a fireworks show that we all loved. What a trip!

One is fun!

I can't believe our Matthew turned one! He has been such a joy. We have all loved having a baby in the house again.
It seems like yesterday I went to the hospital to be induced. When we got out of the car there was a double rainbow over the hospital. It was at that moment that I knew that everything would be O.K. And it was. We have this little guy now.
A few days before Matthew's birthday we had a combined party with Grammy. Everyone came over including cousin Meredith who was in town from Colorado. A few days later (on his actual birthday) mom and Matthew flew to Washington DC.

Blogging Begins
Here it goes...we are in for a blogging adventure. I have loved everyone's blogs (although most of you know that I am not good at reading them very often...but I'm trying to change that). This is a great way to document our "McAleavy Moments".
